Hours Played on Server (You can state N/A if server is not opened at the time of application): 1 Day, 10 Hours, 15 minutes.
Have you ever been kicked off a staff team? If yes, explain in detail: I have never been kicked off of a staff team.
Are you staff on any other server at the moment?: No, I am only developing for another server for the time being.
Do you have any experience being staff on GMOD? If yes, state what servers, ranks, and why you wanted to be staff?: Yes, I have been staff on numerous servers including but not limited to; Hyperion Networks (Admin), ExhibitionRP (Junior Admin), Pantheon Networks (Junior Admin), Project Helios (I believe I was Admin but I cannot remember for sure), Abyssal Networks (Admin), Starfall Servers (Admin), etc.
Do you have experience with ULX commands?: Yes, over 1,000+ hours of experience.
What can you bring to the gamemaster team?: I can bring the passion and dedication needed to coordinate and execute events while also balancing the fun and difficulty scale of the event itself. I can also bring my creative mind which will help conceive event ideas that will give the player-base fun yet challenging events that will force players to work together in not only combat but problem solving as well.
Why would you like to join the HBN staff/gamemaster team?: I would enjoy getting players more involved in the server through passive RP, small scale events, large scale events and so forth. I also would like to get more involved with the community and help improve players experience of the server overall to hopefully gain their interest for the long term.
Why should we accept you over other applicants?: I feel that my creative mindset and passion to make challenging yet fun events sets me apart from other applicants, not necessarily putting me above them in terms of priority or importance.
Sample event (typed up event script):
Operation Loose Ends
Briefing: Troopers, we have just received a transmission from a reconnaissance detachment located in the Juino Sector in the Mid-Rim. This transmission details a science facility harboring extremely valuable specimens of unknown origin and anatomy, the facility has high levels of security and protection from the CIS as far as we can tell. Your primary objectives are to disable the facility, capture the scientists behind these specimens, and take samples of the specimens then destroy them, we can not have the information they know spreading to others so if it absolutely comes down to it you must neutralize the scientists before it's too late. Your approach to the facility is completely up to the field marshal however all sides and possible entrances are covered by the CIS so any stealthy approach into the facility will be difficult but not impossible. Once you have infiltrated the facility and completed your primary objectives you must exfiltrate immediately as CIS reinforcements will be in hot pursuit as soon as any sort of alarm or security protocol is tripped in the facility. If you are lucky you will be able to leave before any CIS reinforcements even arrive however that is not a guarantee. Head to the landing pad and board up on the LAAT.
The LAAT will be landed a good distance away from the facility itself so the field marshal will be able to prep his/her troopers on the plan of approach. Once the plan is decided the troopers will be given the okay to move out and the combat for the first part will be dynamic based on the approach to the facility, however no reinforcement droids will be spawned until they are officially announced over comms as landing near the facility if any security protocols or alarms are tripped. The facility will have numerous complex puzzles scattered about, restricting access to certain parts of the facility presenting a challenge hindering progress with the main objectives. Once the main objectives have been completed the exfilitration will again be dynamic depending on the approach to the facility and if any alarms or protocols are tripped. However if the reinforcements are informed, constant waves of droids will be spawned via headcrab canisters presenting a challenge in moving to evac. The droids wont be spawned in numbers to make it impossible to leave just spawned in numbers to present an additional challenge to getting to evac safely.
Once the troopers return to base the scientists will be interrogated by whatever battalion is qualified to do so, that is only if the troopers do return with the scientists. The samples taken from the specimen will be processed and checked by the medical staff on base at the time of arrival. This will all take place after DB.
This event will allow for a main event and some passive roleplay afterwards.
What is one key thing that should be exercised while running an event?: There are a lot of key aspects that should be exercised and focused while running an event, one of those key aspects is to not hyper-focus on one thing but to balance and control the focus on the different aspects/topics of the event. For example if I were to hyper-focus on spawning droids and making the event incredibly difficult then the overall fun factor would drastically decrease considering it's just a generic shoot`em up mission that has no important agenda being pressed. However if I were to focus on maintaining a story, difficulty level, battalion tasks, and overall player involvement it would improve the fun factor of the overall event and make it more enjoyable for all players involved. That being said there are still multiple more key aspects that should be exercised and focused when running an event or when collaborating with another GM.
How often can you be online?: 4-5 hours everyday on a week day if needed and 7-8 hours on weekends if needed.
Do you have a working microphone?: Yes.
Do you have discord on your computer/phone?: Yes.
